A beautiful historical home.Staff were very friendly and helpful. The continental breakfast was amazing.Afternoon tea is available everyday.Easy walking distance to Fremantle town centre .The only downside was the very small shower.Parking is very limited.

Only for those who like the feeling of living in an old house, meaning at steep stairs good luck going down with luggage, a tiny bathroom n no sound proofing. But on the other hand it's an old house n with it being its own positive vibes for those who love such hotels

What an absolute gem. We just had a mini break and stayed a night at Fothergills.Suzie was really helpful, and the house is full of history and qurkie arts. Room is good size and the bed was amazing, we were over sleeping almost missed the breakfast. The continental breakfast give you so many options, including 100% juices and fresh fruits. Thank you so much

Very close to Prison for our concert and Markets, great friendly service, quirky garden sculptures and art. Extra comfortable bed and chairs in room. Only issue for me as a larger man was toilet and shower cubicle a bit snug in our room. Other rooms do have full ensuite . Would definitely visit again

Looking for a weekend getaway? Then this delightful bed and breakfast is an ideal choice. Located conveniently in Freemantle, and close to everything, you will be able to enjoy a peaceful stay. The rooms are comfortable and amenities good. Enjoy breakfast in the sunny dining room and be sure to take time to walk around the garden keeping an eye open for the many bronze sculptures which will delight and surprise you.

Was very interested to volunteer here in exchange for the beautiful accommodation. Upon the phone call I had before I attended the interview I asked for the address, which I unfortunately misheard four times, I was harshly shouted out very loudly multiple times. I have never experienced being yelled at like this before over mishearing something on the phone. As this is something that happens to us all sometimes because of phone connection or location (I am currently an hour away from this bnb). When sending an email to respectfully let them know why I would not be attending the interview (instead of just not showing). I was sent an even more rude reaction. I just want to let other volunteers or those booking know what they are walking into here. I have also found other reviews on trip advisor, google & other places that report the same experience. An extremely rude & angry & hostile owner. I wish her deep healing & peace. Maybe she needs a break from the industry? Here is my email I sent letting them out of respect why I wish to not even attend the interview. See below for the reaction I got. This is my email:Hi Suzy,Just letting you know out of respect I won't be attending the interview on Monday.I did not appreciate how I was shouted at today, multiple times when mishearing the address. It was unnecessary & rude. And I do not wish to work with someone with this attitude.Good luck on your search, peace & blessingselfie____________________________________________________________________________________Dear ElfieThank you for your blunt email .I must say i also had a low opinion of your self also . I have in 20 years of running this place never had to repeat myself 4 times to anyone . So i doubt you would be able to keep up with the pace here.RegardsSuzyThis was

We stayed at Fothergills in early March and found it to be a very charming old home with a warm, cosy vintage look and feel. The gardens were beautiful and our room (Endeavor) even had a private little deck overlooking the garden with a staircase down into it. The staff and proprietee were so friendly and made us feel so welcome. The continental breakfast selection was huge. Because we booked directly with the hotel we also got to enjoy a hearty hot breakfast cooked to order and it was the best breakfast we had after our first week in Australia. The hospitality we enjoyed there was very much appreciated. Also it was a very short walk from there to the heart of Fremantle. I would definitely stay there again!
